A new type of popular science work is designed for young professionals in the field of geological sciences, mainly for students of natural science faculties. In the attempt to be comprehensible and engaging, the author has used both motifs from his foreign travels and experiences from mineralogical-geochemical research at ore deposits in Czechoslovakia, especially at the ore veins of Příbram. It describes various conditions of geological and mineralogical research at some European and Asian sites. Author: Jan Kutina
