The introductory part describes the main features of Prague’s geological past, historical stages of research and mapping of the Prague territory, and principles of protection of geological objects and fossils. Individual protected areas are described in detail according to a uniform schema. The description is supplemented by maps, photographs of the most interesting objects, and a comprehensive map of Prague.
