Arsenic, arsenolite, proustite

A representative, massive sample of gray-brown colored arsenic, on which ladder-like structures after leached silver are visible. Arsenolite on this sample forms white, vitreously lustrous, translucent, and imperfectly developed small octahedra. The sample also contains small, lustrous, dark red crystals of Proustit, which are often found just in the cavities after the silver. Particularly striking is the combination of red Proustit and colorless arsenolite. This is a very high-quality example of these minerals from the Svornost mine in Jáchymov.
