Description
A perfect, unusually rich specimen of grandidierite from Madagascar that weighs over 400 grams, from where it was first described in the world in 1902. The entire sample is largely composed of blue, bladed crystals of grandidierite along with light brown diopside. Grandidierite is a very rare borosilicate, and specimens from Madagascar are the best in the world. A very nice over 10 cm large format, which is very rarely available on the market.
