Johannite forms spherical aggregates of apple green color, reaching sizes of up to 1 mm and sitting on a matrix. They often intergrow, sit on each other, and thus form accumulations. Also, on this specimen, johannite forms fine-grained coatings. On the specimen, johannite occurs together with colorless gypsum. This is a high-quality and very rich example of this uranyl sulfate, which comes from the Svornost mine in Jáchymov. Jáchymov is the type locality for this mineral.
